muse

over winter break i spent some of my time watching the entire season of abc's pushing daises...a show that apparently had a lot of hype, started in the fall, got rave reviews, lasted 9 episodes, but then had to be put on hold because of the writers' strike.
by the time i had finished the season, i really liked the show, which is quite rare, considering i only really like about 3 tv shows.
pushing daisies has clever, well-written narration, an dreamlike set of saturated colors, a cute and innocent romance, and, most relevant to this posting, an awesome wardrobe, exhibited by the character charlotte aka "chuck."
chuck's wardrobe is 50's inspired, crisp and classic fashion. her array of brightly colored dresses, big-buttoned coats, big oval sunglasses and playful scarves are my latest muse.
