sinfully stylish

sometimes, personal style choices can be an anology to sin.
i remember once, in the sixth grade, i was hesitant about donning a boat-neck tee and capri pants at school, because they were both new trends that not many people had yet "dared" to try.
since then, i have gone down the slippery slope that is "fashion forwardness." now, i fear nothing, always ready to experiment with the latest trend- or even make up some of my own.
about two years ago, i bought a pair of sunglasses that some laughed at, calling me "grandma" and saying the size of my sunglasses was silly. still, this caused me little hesitation in wearing them, although i told myself i shouldnt go any bigger with my next pair.
i explained in a recent post that i lost a pair of sunglasses that were near and dear to my heart. the pair featured on the left of the above picture were my back-up pair to that favorite pair. since losing the old ones, however, the back-up pair became the first-up pair, and all of my sunglasses moved up a spot in line.
but the other day i purchased a new pair of sunglasses. as soon as i tried them on, i knew that they were just right. it wasnt until i got them home that i realized they were significantly larger than my last pair.
that, my friends, is why fashion is like sin. we are tempted in subtle ways- leading us down a dark path that we dont even recognize until we have journeyed far.
i have come a long way since my first pair of relatively small sunglasses, and i dont even know how i got here.
